It is clear that apart from the occasional ‘wash’, my work is pen and ink. For me, working in this medium enables me to tackle an unlimited array of textures from clouds to machinery, foliage to buildings.

Constantly working on ways to produce them sometimes as true expressions of themselves and often as abstract representations, is a constant joy and challenge to me.

Over the years my work has developed, new techniques have been tried and introduced sometimes as a ‘plan’, but quite often ‘organically’ as part of the process.

The work I have introduced to my portfolio in recent months has been ‘squares’, an example is Chequered Park’, which introduces the abstract design overlaid by the ‘grid effect’. I will post further examples of this in the future as they are completed.
