Gabor Urban, artist painter, born in Subotica in 1946. After leaving the Teachers Training College, he become a private student of Balazs.G. Arpad , for more than 10 years.Lives and works in Budapest, Hungary, as an independent artist.Took part in many group exhibitions, biennials and art colonies in the country and abroad.
Solo exhibited at many cities and his paintings and graphics are spread on more than a hundred locations all over the World.
Urban explores the colors, light, space, composition, local tone, shade and cast shade, details, in the scenes.
With Gabor Urban's paintings, an observer can see, feel and find out what painting really is. Those paintings are the expressions of a spiritual adventure, craft as well as passion and love for painting.
They are essential definitions of what painting can and should be even today. As a painter who can paint well, he can make an artistically challenging scene out of everything, just like the old masters: a painting with all its complicated elements and levels.
